L-3 WESCAM has developed a Night Spotter capability for its MX-15 and MX-20 imaging turrets which augments the existing 3CCD day spotter. The Night Spotter is able to produce clear images in very low light conditions. The technology allows Law Enforcement users to: ' Identify faces that can only be detected with IR imagery ' Read signs, license plates and ship names without auxiliary lighting The resulting combination of day and night cameras with WESCAM's proprietary high magnification spotter lenses provides operators with true 24/7 high-resolution imagery. This technology is available as a dual day/night camera lens combination.
